Also give users a chance to rate/find/discover/connect dots for/ recommend alternatives to...
- people (as a date, friend, lessee, etc.) Include semi-custom recommendations for some categories?
- products
- brick-n-mortar businesses
- Internet sites
- tv shows etc.

Allow video.

Allow the rated person / business to give an intro or link, and to respond.

Offer "best" awards (maybe "worst" as well). Inspiration: free weekly newspapers get free distribution at brick-n-mortar businesses. Businesses only win an award by lots of customers voting, so it makes sense to offer the newspapers (with voting form).

Design with access by phone as an integral component. (Dinner Friday? Um, give me 2 minutes while I check out your reputation....)

Yum!
